About the Program
At Capital Square Research, we don't believe in "busy work." Our internship is a 2-month intensive immersion into the world of fundamental equity research. You won't just be reading reports; you will be building them. You will work directly under the founder to dissect financial statements and project future cash flows for some of India's most dynamic sectors.
Job Description (Equity Research Intern)

Sectoral Mapping: Analyzing industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive landscapes.

Reporting: Synthesizing complex data into concise, institutional-grade research notes.
Requirements
Technical & Quantitative Proficiency

Advanced Financial Modeling: Mastery of MS Excel for complex arithmetic and data architecture, including nested logic, Dynamic Arrays (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), and Sensitivity Analysis using Data Tables (one-way/two-way).

Computational Finance: A high preference for candidates capable of utilizing Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) for financial automation, backtesting momentum strategies, or scraping unstructured data from filings.

Analytical Rigor: Ability to construct integrated 3-Statement models with clean circularity and automated debt schedules.
Academic & Professional Standing

Domain Expertise: Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Finance, Economics, or Commerce.

Professional Track: Active CFA or FRM candidates are strongly preferred, with a solid grasp of Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, and Financial Statement Analysis (FSA).

Thematic Knowledge: Familiarity with the operational metrics of the Hospital, Logistics, or Data Center sectors is an advantage.

Operational Commitment
